Does this imply we're in for a hard winter?

Last summer I built a wood rack to store bowl blanks and stood it on the back side of my shop. There's not enough room inside for all the blanks I had, so this came in handy. Today I opened for the first time in months and this is what I found... the critters have been gathering supplies for the winter. We had pulled out about 1/2 dozen pepper plants after LOML got tired of canning them... they were piled out by the compost pile... which is also behind the shop just over the little berm in front of the wood rack.
I think the critters stored more peppers than we did....:rofl:

Nice pepper harvest! Boy those guys were busy. Constantly amazed by the amount of material rodents can move...
