Gloat! New Tablesaw

Actually I don't have a new tablesaw but my old one sure acts like a new one. I spent the morning aligning the blade and the fence and the first rip cuts were smooth enough to be glue line quality. It even sounds better and when I tried hogging the wood through, there wasn't the laboring sound I was used to. I also aligned the pulleys better which helped a lot.

Before aligning the blade I installed the PALS I bought a year ago. That sure makes the alignment process easier.

Yes, a good tune up can make a world of difference. the saw is a right tile Jet contractor saw with CI wings. I have the Incra TS-IIIa fence on it which is a great addition.
 
Amen! Most people assume their saw (or any other tool) came out of the factory perfect and leave it that way. Never take in account that things wear and move. If they did routine maintenance there would probably be less upgrading.
