Congratulations Bill Lantry!

Thanks, everybody. Life is good! :thumb:

Doorlink's kitchen is still a work in progress, darn it. I'll get there, at some point!

By the way, this week, hard on the heels of the Jerusalem thing, a poem also came out in Damascus. I am probably the only California poet who published in both Israel and Syria in the same week! Yes, I know: "no link, didn't happen!" ;) Here you go:

And here's the main page:

They don't publish many poems per issue, so it's quite a coup. By the way, the incident described is based on Sura 105 from the Koran...

Thanks,

Bill

Congratulations Bill.

I am a big fan of classical Urdu poetry but never really enjoyed English poetry. Your reference to the Surah Al-Feel (The Elephant) from Quran made me go read your poem though. I can't say that I understood the whole poem but I must say that I was impressed nonetheless.

Note: If anyone wants to read the text of the Surah 105 then you could PM me.
