weekend craft fair bust

Last Saturday the town where I live had their fall festival. My mother-in-law asked me if I wanted to set up with her. I didn't make much for fear that it would be a bust. I wasn't disappointed. After expenses my take was a grand total of 14 bucks. I don't think I'll be doing that one again. The guy next to me was selling rubber band guns like hot cakes.

On Sunday my father-in-law and I went to an art and craft show about 3 hours from us. It was really impressive. It was like a flea market met an art gallery. It's a two day deal and I was told that they were expecting 35,000 people over two days. To set up in the art part you have to be juried by their committee. I'm thinking about going to that one next year.

I intended to take my camera and forgot dang it.:dunno:

So many people were there you couldn't stir'em with a stick.

Sorry about the slow sales, John. Been there, done that, and have the 32-ounce sports bottle to go with. Sounds like the juried show might be a better bet, but they're all a roll of the dice to some extent. Just don't let one bad experience keep you from trying more shows. ;)
