Doh!!! I was just gong to offer a chuck suggestion until I saw how old this thread was...back to physiology

Here is an update to the status of these drums, the small piccolo never got finished, other things came up and my friend never bought the hardware for it, which was also going to be the fate of the popcorn snare. A few months ago I got a call from a guy who needed a drum shell finished, his friend glued it up and rough turned it so I finished the inside and outside and cut the bearing edges then lacquered and buffed it. He also saw the popcorn snare shell and wanted that as well as another piccolo snare I had finished. Here is a video of them, the purpleheart and maple snare is the one his friend started.
