    Need a little help, magnet

Anybody have some rare earth magnets? I need to know if they will pick up steel when passing through 1/4 tempered board. If so what size you used.

Got another wild idea I need to work out in my head. I really need 2 hands

Where is a good supplier for these creatures?

I regularly use 2 magnets to hold recipes to a cabinet door so I can see them. I'd reckon the door is 1/4 material, and they hold so well it's hard to pull the magnets apart, with the wood in the way.

The 1/2" ones are the ones I'm talking about.

    eBay. Search for neodymium magnets

    Very good prices.
Remember the tea kettle - it is always up to its neck in hot water, yet it
    still sings!

Or little kids. If they eat them, they could die.

I think with the availability of really strong, small magnets, it's kind of a newer issue for small kids.

That, along with the twists and turns in a kids stomach makes it a little more of a danger for a kid than a cow.

magnets will gather steel nails, ect but some nails are not steel ----having two magnets attach to each other thru the gut wall will block any thing except liquid from passing

You also run the risk of perforation and internal bleeding.

One magnet - not a great big deal.
    Two magnets - call 911.

I'd say what my wife dies for a living, but I don't like giving out personal information anymore. Let's just say she's seen the carnage first-hand.
