    not mine but interesting

A friend sent me this link.
The turner has some very imaginative shapes and designs. He uses colored epoxy to fill voids and be creative. I love his finishes too.

Too shyny for my taste but I like the idea of filling the voids with coloured resin.
    Best regards,

I'm with Toni...I like a glossy finish, but not a thick glossy finish. Looks too "plasticy" to me. (But that's just personal preference...he does the thick glossy finish very well.) He's got some nice pieces, but I'm not real fond of the wide-bottomed ones.

Frank thanks for posting that site. Those "hit me" just between the eyes, I love 'em. Those wide bottoms Vaughn dislikes better suit my tastes as they are less likely to tip over and take some rough living. I realize art is personal and don't mean to be insulting to Vaughn. Wondering with the "shiney" that they can actually hold water and be used instead of only as a dry vase. I like them, they are neat.

God and family, the rest is icing on the cake. I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place!

No insult taken at all, Jon. Like you said, art is personal. If we all liked the same things, it'd get boring real quick.

Not my cup of tea Frank. Maybe i am a stickler for "el naturale" but mixing wood and plastic.

    Thanks for showing us Frank.
    cheers
