Oak root HF

This is the rest of that oak root that i made that bollow hox out of.:p It' 61/2x4 and finished with danish oil, wax, then hand buffed. Didn't think it would make it, but glad it did.:D Almost posted this in Jims thread :eek::huh::dunno: Well all c&c welcome as always.

That's a great piece, Steve. :clap: Excellent job. :thumb: You got a very pleasing form out of a difficult piece of wood. Voids like that can be a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it's easy to get the chips out as you hollow, and a curse because you can see the inside, so it has to be sanded and finished nicely.
 
thanks all. Dan that's just the wood with the danish oil on,i kind of like the dark also, but the wife don't.:rolleyes:

Yea man i know what ya mean.sanding the out side wasn't bad, but getting the inside that's a different story. Still didn't get the inside as good as i wanted.:eek:
