I've seen some (what looks like) high-velocity-impact (like a Lincoln Log)-proof white finish on some kids furniture, and I was wondering how to replicate it. It almost looks like plastic or melamine, but I'm pretty sure it's a paint. Very high gloss white, I've also seen it on cabinets such as below:

I've got dimensions to the Pottery Barn activity table in my hand (thanks Pottery Barn website, you were very helpful), and thought that might be a good finish choice.
