I am thinking it would be neat to make some holiday shavings for around the house. I just need to make sure to keep them away from any flames!

I wonder why I never thought of this.

They would make some neat fire starters too. Wasn't there a thread about a special plane used to make fire starter curlies on here a while ago?

You are thinking of the Lee Valley Spill Plane

I have to admit to wanting to get one, but I have some "needs" ahead of this on my shopping list.
