Plugged damaged end with Bee's Wax, dipped the end in Med CA, sprayed with accelerator several times to build up the CA on the damaged end.
Turned down, sanded with 400x and buffed with super fine steel wool.

Turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

Photos of the completed pen to follow.

Innovation is the process that renews something that already exists and not, as is commonly assumed, the introduction of something new.

Looks just like my last circuit board pen I did! Pretty much the same fix, but I left mine on the lathe and taped around the blow out and glued. Looks like your way worked just as good if not better!

Nice save and nice pen. Is that Japanese Chiyogami paper and glued around the tube then cast? If so how do they hide the seam? Sure makes a pretty pen blank.
