    Got ice?

First ice storm of the year has arrived. Second day this week for the kids to be out of school. I think I will go to the shop and lock myself in.

Yep, got our ice storm last Saturday. 3/4" of ice (beautiful clear ice by the way, can see the rocks in the drive like looking through an aquarium) under the three plus foot of snow we got dumped on us! Yesterday was first day of the week in school, had a two hour delay, today is first full day of the week. Hope tomorrow is same, finals today and tomorrow.

God and family, the rest is icing on the cake. I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place!

And there is not a place I would rather live. So hot you cannot catch your breath in the summer, so cold and messy in the winter. It is still home.

Made me shutter thinking about another ice storm. Glad you seem OK with it. Our 2009 ice storm was a doozy. We were without electric for six days, some folks for six WEEKS or more.
Reminds me, I haven't run my generator for a while. Have to do that and I'm going to buy two more 5 gal. gas cans to have fuel on hand.

We got lucky, too. The forecast was for TWO FEET of snow here, but we only got about five or six inches. Pretty cold for this time of year, though - it was 10°F this morning.

Looks like it could get really nasty when Winter actually starts next week.
