    black gum burl HF

    This little hf is 5 1/4x 3 Finished with 1 coat danish oil, 3 coats shellec, then waxed. Not real sure about the form, but i had to work with what i had. This stuff turned like a dream, coun't ask for any thing better. Thanks for looking and as always C&C welcome.

    Steve thats a very pretty piece, I would be happy with it if I were the artist who produced it...

    No this burl was on a branch so it had a pich in it that i had to cut out. I sure wish it didn't but what do ya do. Still have the other half, and can't figure out how i want to go about turning it.:huh
    As far as the color and grain, i sure wasn't expecting that.wish the rest of the wood had that color.
