I started with a flat piece. Does that count? I use a scrollsaw for fretwork in thick pieces. Around the holidays they can come in handy for last minute add-ins, stocking stuffers or party gifts (tie them to a bottle with a ribbon).

I built a bandsaw herd last year (or was it the year before???) Anyway, LOML said the reindeer looked like a camel so I started fooling around and came up with these:

Thanks guys. I picked up a piece of basswood at the yard. It is soooo easy to cut. I can see why carvers like it. The plan is to knock out a few of these guys and tie them to each gift with a little ribbon. Kind of a combination decoration/gift add-on.

Ready? All together now; . . . . Awwwww, ain't that cute. ;-))
