    and then...

    So I was supposed to be learning more turning stuff in L.A. yesterday...but no truck yet, so...
    Curly maple platter 9 1/2" about 1/4" thick with one coat of WOP so far. First time I have done a platter and it has so much curl it's amazing. This was a gift from a guy on another forum that was dry as a bone. It's also the reason I'm getting a vacuum chuck in the very near future

    Jim now that's a great looking platter. Don't get any better than that.
    Sorry to here about that truck. Hope it gets taken care of soon, so you can get back down south and see that crazy rock and roller.
