I'm pretty sure once the experts chime in, they'll suggest the rest of us beginners can use it as an opportunity to hone our skills

Beginner, shminner. This is a family event. All invited, all welcome, all boxes will be appreciated by their recipient. I do post these words of wisdom as my own, but having met Tom, knowing some of the population here, those words are the general views held by us. Jump in with both feet lady.
God and family, the rest is icing on the cake.

I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place.

Larry! Have you been here? Have you seen my pink slippers?

Okay all, count me in, and pray you're not the recipient of my first box....

Oh Man! You guys are really twisting my arm.

Ok Ok, I am in too.

Just don't have any high expectations. I haven't done any woodworking in almost 3 years. I don't even know if my lathe still works.

Great! Listen, Mohammad, it can't be worse than mine. Is there a last place prize, I hope?

Just don't go making no ugly boxes, y'hear? We'll be having none of that.

    You'll do fine.

And you don't want us to offer a prize for the ugliest box, because I'd make it personal a mission to win that one.

If you need access to any tools you might not have (or might not have set up yet), you're welcome to come over and use mine. Just holler if you need anything.
