Mobile tablesaw base

...Why are all of them up on stilts, though? You live in a desert, man! Flood much?

No floods here...we're on a hill. :p Not sure why he did it that way, although he put leveling feet on them, too. I'm guessing it was just to beef up the bases and square things up with something other than shims. :dunno:

I started the dust collection for the router table today. I fabricated this piece of ductwork from some 4" metal duct I had lying around.

Here it is installed and a view from inside where the router goes.

This is where it exits on the back of the mobile tablesaw base.

I then proceeded to fabricate the 4" blast gate, installed another 6" bastgate to the base of the saw and fabricated a wye connection to hook it up to the 6" ductwork.

I fasten the metal ductwork to the wooden parts using my 18 ga. nail gun and 5/8" nails.

Here is how I'm connecting the router fence and someday will do double duty for an over arm saw dust collection.

I installed a 1/4" piece of plywwod that I space 1-3/4" from the back and left a 1-1/2" high opening at the bottom. With a equal size opening where the door would go it sucked up every bit of sawdust where the cabinet is when I turned on the dust collector.:thumb:

Now I need to figure out how I want to do the on/off switch and the speed control.
