I like this drive to Va

every so often I need to head out to northen Va and when I do I will usually take the farry. It's the only one still running on the potomac river and has sence the Civil War. The ole farry is called Jubal Early after a Conferderate general. Last pic is out the front door at the farm house I was working at.

Vaughn, one can wade the river in the summer to fish. Good smallie fishing.
The trip across one way is $4 return is $3. Well worth the money considering the traffic on the beltway plus you get to take in the country side views.

I didn't know that was there. We may have to take a day trip there this spring...

    Thanks Dave!

Gary straight out 28 and veer off towards Poolsville and straight on to the river. You come out about 4 miles east of Leesburg Va.
