Hi All,

Title a little ostentatious?

Sorry. It was meant to be.

A simple, poor (not even close),ignorant redneck (absolutely),

manages to not be that guy in the Frigidaire box, outside the office.

Am I being boastful? Yep.

But why Per? That is so unlike you.

I know again, my apology's.

Just needed to show how we in the proletariat struggle by.

You, dear reader's know where I am coming from with this post.

I promise I will never do it again.......

But you should see what I drive......and its paid for.

Pictures are second coat of Behlens Rock Hard Table top

over 3 coats of MAS epoxy. 3 more coats of varnish to go,

then the polishing regimen. Enjoy.

Per

Marty, Steve,

Thanks, no really, for everything.

But I am on a roll here.......

So my interpretation of what

a real mans bar is suppose to look like.

Floor goes down in about a week.

Then this redneck is changing hats,

Packing the kids and the old geezer on Luftansa,

to ski and snowboard in Zermatt. http://www.zermatt.ch/index.e.html

Goodness Per, you and your dear old Dad have a lot to be proud of on that job

I'm sure that for many many years to come, a lot of people will be stunned by the fine work that greets them when they walk into that bar, I know I'd be afraid of spilling my drink as I was gawking at the work you guys have done.

Hats off, enjoy your trip, you have certainly earned it! :thumb:

Great looking bar! It's been quite a project and I've enjoyed following your progress. Wish I were close by...I'd love to meet up for a drink in there!

i think if there was a place you could boast it would be here. we all understand the pride you feel when you finish any job, but something like this, you have rights to boast Per. thanks to you and your dad for sharing your beautiful work with all of us. it truly is inspiring!!

hats off!!

Per & Bob,
Everything that's been said before and then some. I wish I could "belly" up to that bar for a cold one some day. Not sure if I'd drink, or just look at the wood and the craftsmanship, as well as sweat and tears that has gone into the creation of that masterpiece.

I think a vacation is well deserved. While I understand you're going to the Matterhorn, I'm a bit confused as to which one? :dunno: Disneyland in California, Florida or Japan? Or perhaps France. ;) We want pictures of you and Bob on the Dumbo ride, OK? ;) :D Mention my name and you'll get a front row seat.

Have a great trip.

Thanks again everybody,

Travis,

How did we do it? Easy.

My Father used to be a stand up guy.

He is 82 now, so he is sort of a sit down guy.

Matter of fact, there is a running joke on all our jobs

when Bob comes to visit.....

Let me get you a fishing pole so it looks like you're doing something.

All kidding aside.

We took the picture below off of the Google.

Overlayed a grid for reference in photo shop.

Took a chunk of Mahogany and Bobalouie hand drew

the elk on the wood. Put the fishin pole down for awhile

picked up the foredom, a mini plunge router, carving tools,

and exacto knives and carved it.

Band sawed it off the blank and you remember Colorforms as a kid?

Stuck some veneer together to look like mountains,

(you should a been there for that argument, catzndawgz.)

Filled it with epoxy and voila, nutin to it.
