Small Cedar hollow form

I have had this piece of cedar for a long time, it was too small to make much of but too nice to throw away. Turned it into this little HF. The finish is lacquer (still needs to be buffed out once the lacquer cures). It is 4-1/4 inches wide x almost 5 inches tall.

Very cool piece, Dennis. I love the NE opening! When Vaughn swung by over the holidays, he left a big blank with a barkless, yet very rough top as a new lathe gift (thx again amigo). Hopefully mine will come out this nice.

I would call that a near miracle piece. I sure like the looks a lot.
But, even attempting something like that with cedar is risky. Cedar is very brittle and, as I'm sure you know, can shatter unexpectedly with the tiniest catch. You have a unique piece. Well done. :thumb:
