What are folks opinion of this taper jig?

I don't have any experience with that particular jig, but I usually bandsaw to a pencil line and clean up with a plane. If I really need to cut a taper on the TS, it's easy to make a jig as needed. Bottom line: doesn't look to me to be a good value. JMO.

Is this code still good?
Is this what I put in the 'catalog code' area?

The catalog code is usually something different. I'd look for a spot during checkout that's asking for a promotional code.

Also, that taper jig is way overpriced, in my opinion. Especially for something that's probably not going to get a lot of use in most shops. A few years ago when I got back into woodworking, Rockler had a different taper jig on sale, and for some reason I simply HAD to buy one. Still haven't had a need for the thing. ;)

Ive tapered almost every leg I put on a cabinet or table, maybe 40 or so legs.
I use a piece of mdf and 2 scraps of 2x4s that I screw in when I figure out what angle I want. cuts perfect every time.
Id save the 60 bucks and buy a blade.
