    Andy Hoyt

Just read on Facebook that Andy Hoyt passed away very suddenly. The news was posted on FB by Maine Woodturners. No other details were given.
Many of you will remember Andy from SMC and the days of the great lathe give aways. MOA sir, RIP.

Wow, that's terrible news, Karl. He'll be missed by a lot of folks. He was indeed one of the original instigators of this site, although in the end he was only here for a little while before reconciling with SMC.

Very sad news. But I remember Andy as a guy that made me laugh out loud many times when I read his posts. I hope for the best for his wife and daughter.

Very sad. One of the first to welcome me to this site. Gave me lots of advice. Great guy, may he rest in peace.

That is very sad news in deed, I'd not talked to him in some time, but he surely made my many days at SMC very enjoyable

Well I guess he as all the Moxie he can drink now and lots of fresh wood to turn, Godspeed Andy

He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Andy is probably sipping his moxie and laughing at the lot of us knowing Andy.
