A friend of mine in Tucson is working on getting a load of lumber from a friend of his that runs a sawmill in NC. He's planning on cherry, but walnut, oak, soft maple, etc. are also available. I'm going to plan on getting a couple hundred board feet, and anyone else in the area is welcome to participate. Details are still a bit sketchy (sorry 'bout that), and timing will depend a lot on when some of the wood is dry enough to be bothered with. I've bought cherry from this mill before, its not graded, but well air dried, which I consider preferable to kiln dried.

Below is a mineral cabinet I built for a friend out of what I bought before.
