    Shopping for wood

Hey, soon I will be buying wood to construct items for my workshop. Does anyone have a guide that helps me understand wood and pricing. Also, any Michiganders know of good places to get good quality wood at lower prices?

    Thanks for the help.

    Watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/user/TheWoodW...10/e2FNYJMkP-o

There's a lot to learn Kris. That's a pretty broad question. First you have to decide what you're building there in your shop to get you going. Then you can figure out what to buy.

    And read this.

You actually kind of remind me of me last year with all these questions.

Lol, questions give you knowledge! And I'm really excited to get started. You can tell when I'm severely interested in something when I can't sleep due to the excitement of what I can create. Which is how I learned I'd love to do CGI.

P.S. OMG I forgot to go through the woodwhisper youtube channel, thanks for reminding me with that link.

Kris, as you've probably discovered by now, the Wood Whisperer videos are great, especially for someone just coming up to speed on a lot of this stuff.
