    spalted maple hf

    this is a piece i've been working on for a couple weeks. just finished it to day. It's the last of the wood that Larry brought me last year.
    It's 8x41/2 finished with multi coats lacquar knocked down with steel wool, waxed and buffed.

    We all like the Michigan chocolate, but that Michigan vanilla fudge swirl is pretty sweet-looking, too. The hollow form does a good job of showcasing the wood. Good stuff, Steve.

    What a cool flying saucer!! Real nice curve at the mouth and nice finish. I really like the size...8" is a great chunk! Very nice Steve...take me to your leader!!

    Vaughn i think i like this vanilla fudge swirl even better than that chocolate.
    Jim i belive you have been to my leader. We call him Vaughn. Wayne thanks i wish i had a truck load more.
