Unhappy Note to self re: iPhone launderability

In case any of you have dirty iPhones and were considering cleaning them by leaving it your pants pocket while laundering the pants let me give you some advice.

    Don't.

I'm off to the AT&T store to see if I can replace it without breaking the bank.

Zackly why I only have a Motorola Tracfone in a little pouch on my belt. didn't cost much & nothing ever has happened to it. I am on my second battery & second pouch it takes a licking & keeps right on ticking.

Hope it turns out ok for you.

Humm.... Brent threw his phone into the river just to get a new one (and while I was talking to him). Guess, just cuz I check pockets, he doesn't try that trick on me anymore

Well Rennie, at least you've given us a chuckle over your misfortune. Sorry about that.

Rennie, my BIL lost his in a snow bank for 5 days...he put it in some rice I think to absorb some of the moisture and left it for a week. When he turned it on after that it worked fine...if you turned it on while it was wet, it's probably toast.

I've done that with car keys, money, pocket knives and lighters but never my cell phone. Thanks for the chuckle Rennie

My grand daughter Abby did drop my cell phone in the commode a while back. So I just threw it away
