I am aware that I have been missing from participation for a while presently am up to my eyeballs in all sorts of things however I try to follow along via my Ipod for a few minutes in the morning.

Having said that I am a registered voter! and still took time to get out and VOTE !

:saythat:

I am utterly dismayed by the small voter turnout could not take it anymore hence this post to those that have not yet cast their vote.:tantrum::pullhair::crazy:

The candidates are very fine people I would vouch for each and every one of them it has made selection this time around very difficult to do. (THANKS to ALL MOD Candidates and of course current mods and don’t forget the guys in Admin):thumb::headbang::bow:

During my participation here to date, everyone of them has been more than generous in making me feel welcome, giving me much needed advice and more important extending a hand of friendship, welcome, care and knowledge to me. :thumb:

My experiences here have been overwhelming at times and most humbling our forum is an absolute beacon of hope in our crazy mixed up world.

So what’s you excuse for not voting.???????:huh::dunno:

Would you rather not have a right to vote?
Do you not cherish freedom?
Can you not find it in you to click 4 times and have your say in how our forum is run?

Ahhh I can hear the cop outs now……:bang:

I don’t know the candidates….so don’t feel qualified to vote.

Yeah like you did a background check on everyone you voted for in your life.

I did not register to vote so I am not eligible.

Well make a point of registering that’s only one click.

I don’t like any of the candidates.
What you gotta be kidding me? What would you like to see some guy out of Mad Max or the Chainsaw Massacre?:doh:

Would you rather be at a paid subscription site, with members of different levels and class and adverts all over the show, where a post that might cause some unease to an advertiser will get censored.

Would you rather give up your rights?

Come on someone give me a good reason why they find it impossible to make the 4 clicks other than they did not register and even then what’s your excuse now for not registering.:(

What McDonalds spilt hot coffee on your lap tooo?:rolleyes:

My humble apologies to the registered voters who have already cast their ballot I just could not take seeing the low turn out. :(

I worked with a man who had a saying that I took to heart. The philosophy has served me well. "Give to the givers and leave the takers alone" - thanks Wade, wherever you are.

Please Vote

Way to go Rob-tell it like it is.:thumb: I'm glad you're on my side.

I did vote. It's easy and it matters.

HUGE thanks to moderators past present and future as well as the Administrators for making this site one of the best anywhere. Strong work all of you.:thumb:

I did the deed a few days ago, but thanks for getting the pole sitters off the pole!! You mentioned coffee...is there a cup anywhere?? I'm really tired and still need to head to the church shop tonite!!

While I appreciate Robs passion, and the post he made, I think it's worth pointing out to people that this board is a little different than most others.

  • It is run by the members
  • The rules have been created by the members
  • The Members can change the rules any time they want by having an election

This is not the typical forum that has an elite cadre of folks running it. Most other forums I've visited I have no idea how folks become mods, or admins, or what the process is to become one. Most other forums have a CoC of some sort, but there is no known process for amending or changing it. That's what makes this place much different from the others.

When the Mods have to weigh in on a controversial post, we are not doing so out of any personal feelings towards the post or poster. We do our best to follow the rules the membership established and voted on and that's it.

The rules are simple and easy to follow. If anyone doesn't like they rules, they are free to exercise their options.

  • Work to change the rules
  • Not participate in the Forum

It's really that simple.

Participation in the forum is completely voluntary. Participation in the elections is completely voluntary. If it's not your cup of whatever, nobody is going to force you. Robs post is merely a gentle prodding (in his somewhat verbose way :D )to get people to participate. The more that participate in the elections helps to guide the forum in the way the members want it to go.

And that's all I have to say on the subject...

Did everyone vote yet!!! Come on guys...it's just like Chirstmas...only a few shopping days left to vote!

well Said Rob! I must admit it was Hard to vote this time around, present company excluded, I had a hard time casting my 4 votes... actually three were easy the 4th one was hard... (and No I did Not vote for myself...) Picking Only 4 of the volunteers was the challenge. In the end I removed myself from the options, and rolled a die... It was a win-win no matter Who I voted for. Congrats to those (re-)elected to their post this year, enjoy the perks of the Lounge!

The only post that has been moderated in this thread is the one by Larry. A placeholder has been left and Larry has been notified as to what is required to render the post within the guidelines of the CoC.

The other posts have either been edited or deleted by the posters themselves.

Larry is welcome to edit his post and to express his opinion as long as it does not violate the CoC.
