A 1 piece pen masquerading as a 2 piece pen!

In Memorium
A new style of a Long Clicker pen that I blatantly stole from a good friend!

This wood was labeled as "Wet Wood Flame Birch". As I was told the story the "Wet" part was to signify it's salvage from the depths of Georgian Bay in Ontario some years ago. I'm doubting the "Flame" notation of the Birch, while it does have some nice shading, it isn't showing any flaming that I can see.

I had one lasered flag left from a previous order and thought it should be honoured with it's own pen!

Comments?

:wave:One other thing stay tuned to the Lathe Project Showcase forum, I have a hunch there will be another Long Clicker pen disguised as a 2 piece pen showing it's head very shortly!:D

Mack, I really like what you have come up with here.
The oak leaf one really grabs me.
Hi Paul; Actually that's a Maple Leaf as shown on the Canadian flag. I should have been more descriptive in my post.
Nice work. A new dimension to the one piece.
Then lines of the Long Clicker are really boring. Easy to turn etc. but they have no redeeming features other to display the full length of a pen blank. (My opinion!)

I'm still fighting with the placement of the finger grip. A ½" seems a trifle too far from nib.

Thanks for your comments!
