It's still my birthday for another 10 minutes or so

    Thank you very much!

For my birthday my lovely wife asked me what I wanted, I showed her this......

    ... on auction.

That is a generic steel road bike frame.

I'm going to do my best to build it up from the basic frame and fork you see there to a nice "Lrrb" (said lurrb) which is "Long Ride Road Bike"

I'll not be racing, just going for longer and longer rides, my old Cannondale MTB set up as an urban warrior is fine around town, but for the really long rides, well it is not the best tool.

I'm going to do this on the cheap, less than $500 is my goal, the frame cost about $150. From now I'll be hunting out used, but good parts on auction here, should be fun.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, raining like crazy here, typhoon due to pass by soon, so I'm stuck on the treadmill running to work off my cake and pizza!

Last year at this time I weighed 301+ pounds, now I'm down to 243lbs, this time next year, I hope to be down at my target of about 175lbs

    Cheers!
