    Fun Weekend Turning With Dad

This past weekend my dad and I did a turning demo outside my BIL's furniture and design store. Friday we only got 2hrs in...delayed by rain and then the storms rolled in. Saturday we turned from about 10:30-3pm...beautiful weather, lots of curlies to pick up and I even sold a few pieces! I have some of my stuff for sale at the store and I had a table with a few new pieces on it outside as well.

The goblet was turned out of redbud by my dad and the oak ebonized bowl was mine. Dad turned another goblet and I turned a few more bowls too. One of the store's designers daughter spent most of the afternoon watching us turn, so I gave he the last bowl I made...she was very happy and so was I.

At the end of the day, regardless whatever you produced, the time together, father and son, that is the number one important thing!!! Good job you two!!! Oh and those pieces produced aren't bad either.

Jeff it don't get better than that.I know i wish my dad could of seen my shop. His dad(grandpa bellinger) was a carpenter woodworker, so i know dad would of loved to be able to play in my shop.
