Baby steps

All right as no one else is posting, i'll go ahead and show a piece that i have no intention of keeping. This is just for pratice and nothin more.
I saw a pic of a wood basket some where else and wanted to see how hard it will be to figure out. Well as i didn't have a beading tool, i made a quick one out of a old small skew i had laying around. Didn't get it perfect but close enough for now. The maple that i used was kinda dry, but also don't care if it warps.:) Need a lot more pratice but this is just to see if i could figure out the basics. Thanks and all C&C needed.

If you don't want to keep that piece send it over here Stephen and I'll make good use of it.:thumb: For being a practice piece I think you did a fine job:thumb:

Well you certainly are on the right track. I really like it. You probably been looking at that gentleman's work on Sawmillcreek. I also want to give it a try, gut me a couple D-Way beading tools for that purpose. Hope I do as well as you did. Nice work.

I'm not sure how to figure out the designs for the Indian basket designs.
