WOW what a great weekend Shelly and I had. We stayed at this B&B and I found a Hole in the Wall locals Pub that had The Best Burger. I love burgers and this one was the Boom. We also meet a couple from England a Bobby and his wife , A couple in there 40's on a 21 day US visit. Great people.
Now I left my camera at home but how many pictures should I post of the Laray Caverns. I took around 100 and about 70% are spectacular ?

I also am able to wright off the weekend. I delivered a set of 4 chairs I refinished to the farm I hunt turkeys on down in Va and did a bit of Antique shopping for a customer and found a shop that had these amazing prices.

Dave, I too am a burger guy. To me there is nothing that compares to a burger well prepared with lots of flavor. When we go out with others people they all think I'm just being cheap (which I am) but actually I just love a good burger. I enjoy other foods but I'll take a good burger most days just fine.

Well, pick the top ten pics and post away. :D Never heard of Laray Caverns...I'd like to see what they look like.

The burger that stands out in my mind is one I had as a young teenager. I'd been on a week-long elk hunt with my dad, friend of his, and his son. (Four guys and six horses deep in the Pecos Wilderness in NM.) On our way out of the mountains we stopped at a little cafe right about where the paved road started (still way up in the hills) and their house specialty was a hamburger the size of the paper plate it was served on. It was like manna from heaven after a week of eating camp food.

Sounds like you had a really good time. It sure is interesting meeting folks from different parts of the world.

I'll take a burger covered with mushrooms and bleu cheese over a steak any day :thumb:

This is Laray Caverns

When my wife went with the boys 20 years ago the place was dark, You would walk down with flash lights and then turn them off and they would flick a switch and light it up. Enjoy my day through the Caverns !

The cave sits under a small hill in the country side. The lowest part of the cave is 118' and in the center is a large center column that resembles a shaggy dog, and that's what they named it.
