    Looks like sawstop may have some competition in the future

    Interesting prototype. And we wont have to buy a whole new saw!

    There may also have been a thread on this a few months ago.
    The contact must be with the shield. Stops in 1/8 of a second. In terms of fingers and spinning saw blades that seems like an ample opportunity for injuries of the finger touches the blade.
    Still, credit must be given for new innovations in the area of shop safety.
