    Record Hand Plane

I have a Record # 7 hand plane that's is very good condition. I have someone
interested and not sure how to price it. I have about a dozen in all I inherited, in several sizes. Most are Stanley or Dunlap. Any suggestions on pricing the Record?
    Thanks, Sandra

I googled Record hand planes and then for a number 7. It appears that it can go from $70.00-$150.00. It was under www.record-planes.com

Age and condition are a factor too. Rex's range sounds about right overall. Can you post a pic or 3?

The pic is visible but is in black & white. Is it blue? Does the top of the blade and the top of the body say "Record" too? The square corners at the top of the blade suggest that it's a bit older, which is good if it's in nice shape...the older one's tended to be made a little better.

    Here's my Record #7:

Wow Scott, that's a lot of records. I bet you listen to them all the time Sorry, but you just can't pass some stuff up.

Scott I reckon your plane collection sets a record on Records recorded in one image here. BTW, nice collection there.

I've actually bought 5 more, and sold 3 since the pic was taken a couple of years ago, but I think Cian Perez, David Lynch and others have me beat by a wide margin!
