    That is so cool, hail to the good old 555 timer ic. Its still around going strong after all of these years. For those of you not familiar with this little chip its a very versatile and great little circuit that can be used with very few other commponents to make a huge variety of circuits.. It is a real great hobby chip but there are even industrial spec units available. This device has survived the years of tech change and is still kicking. Good for him for honouring it.
