while i was at it, i figured why not? it's a fun way to use leftover walnut. i decided on a last man game for the games area in woodworking. instead of an expected square board, i decided to go round. in the first pic, the perimeter of the circle is based on the center point being the center of the square template. i then taped down the template, and drilled the indents for the marbles. once this was done, you can see in pic 2, that i have cut the board to round on the band saw, and sanded to the line on the oscilating (that's up and down larry) spindle sander. like the wine bottle holders, this will get it's finish tomorrow. as this bit of walnut will be nice and dark, i will be going with a contrasting white marble set.
