I took this job on to repair these 2 horses and a lil Buddha from Thailand. They were crushed in shipping. Because of the cost of the work involved just to put them back together the customer hopefully will be bringing them back to do the touch up. I spent some 11 hours put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

I use a glass epoxy. Dries in 6 minutes so mixing the amount needed for 1 to 3 pieces at a time and then cleaning the pallet and knife after each mixing takes time. But it also lets me double check the right piece to the right spot. Then there is the order in which things go back together. Out of all the pieces on both I only was missing 2 on the blue horse and 1 on the green. These were glazed and fired.

Neither Jon, I use a Brushing Lacquer (gloss) and small brushes and mix oil pigments to match the areas. It takes a bit longer but it comes out looking great. You can not tell it's not fired and will hold up just as long. Well almost:D
