Ahh the old "boat in the basement" dilema....

I am now building a couple of cherry armoires for a friend of mine. The finished sizes are going to be 51"x84" with a cherry passage door between them for access to the existing closet. I finished assembling the first carcase and knew I was going to be close so in a moment of rare lucidity I decided to see if I could get it up my builkhead stairs to the garage... Well, in the immortal words of Maxwell Smart.... "missed it by that much". Literally 3/8" of an inch it wouldnt fit..... Luckily I was able to remove one of the stair treads and it slipped out like a..... greased pig through a kids hands at the county fair
Talk about a few minutes of "Oh.... what do I do now...." I was dreading having to take the thing apart... fortunately the lightbulb went off before I assembled the second one!

Nice way to start my morning......................

Good save though. If I can get past the initial anger, a solution can arise. Otherwise, it isn't pretty.

God and family, the rest is icing on the cake. I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place!
