24

It was twenty four years ago
I was hung-over and moving slow
But I was young and in my prime
Made it to the church on time
And we moved our love onto a higher new plateau

We had lived in what we heard some folks call sin
Three years we didn't care it brought us grins
And when the time felt finally right
We got over our stage fright
And merged our families into one big happy loony bin

Each anniversary reminds me I'm a lucky chap
To have a beautiful person such as her fall in my lap
Yet times my mind wanders adrift
Wondering if she feels that she got stiffed
On how I got such a prize and she got a such a sap :D

Hey, Congrats! 24 is certainly a milestone to be proud of!

And why do I think that little verse of yours has already been put to song somewhere!

Thanks guys, she's definitely a saint, though I tease her about having a possible mental disorder, it's either that or those empty bottles in the closet
aren't really for some science project like she claims

We just got back from picking up our shared gift...
An old pot belly stove for the shop...we'll see tomorrow in the daylight if it's the best $30.00 we've spent in a while :dunno:
We say 'our' gift, as the wife says it will keep me out in the shop longer, which is just about all she wants nowadays :D:rofl:

Steve, we watched the first two seasons of '24' on Dvd, the the third we kept up with on the tube...then we fell by the wayside and that was that...don't know why... we enjoyed it.

Brent, no tune this time... I created a waltz back a few years ago, she loved it, but to this day, I'm not sure if that's due to the composing or total lack of my vocals :rofl:

Congrats on the milestone. :thumb: And I think I speak for all of us here when I offer my condolences to your wife. :p

And that stove looks like a great deal for $30.
