    Small Vase

It has been a busy 1 1/2 weeks. I got 3 days of clock work done and 7 days of turning. Woohoo. The wife came out Monday and wanted to know if I could turn her a vase. I said sure what did you have in mind. So she flips out a drawing. Actually turned out pretty well. She said she did not want a finial on it but a knob. So here it is 6" tall and 4" at the widest. Finished with lacquer with one more light coat on the vase and 3 more for the lid. She said it was pretty and cute.

Looks real nice, Bernie. And you have indeed been busy in the shop.

Thanks Vaughn. Yes I got some quality time in the shop and took advantage of it. Of course it helps when momma wants something.

Bernie...this one is very nice. So, did this match your wifes drawing?

I do have a question though. Is it stable? I love the shape of this and others similar to this I've seen here and on other forums but I always wonder if they will easily tip over?

I think this shape is a great looking art piece but worry about it falling off the mantle or shelf or wherever.

Thanks Tom. Yes it is pretty stable. She has it on the table with M & M's in it now and she hasn't complained so I guess all is good.
