    not just hot......

    ..........punishing hot out today.
Both my outside electronic thermometers are registering 111 degrees. One on east and one on west sides of house and both in shade.
Clearly dangerously hot out for anyone.

It moved in pretty quick too. I went out about 11:15, was 87 according to my truck. Coming back from lunch it was up to 104.

All I know is that for the first time this summer the dirt was even to hot to walk on! The first time I ever saw 100 degrees in the shop and it's to late today to turn the a/c on in there.

One of those tropical storms is looking real good right know!

Oh and I forgot to mention that it's been so hot lately that you can smell the interior plastic parts in my car when I get in it for the 1 hour and fifteen minute drive home with no a/c. Makes for a long drive.

Been in the high 80's low 90's for a few weeks. Finally got some rain and of course the zucchini plants started producing all at once. Sick of eating it already.

Headed for the yooper land next week. temps are scheduled to be in the mid to high 70's bummer. expect the trout fishing to be very good.
