    turning wooden eggs

Does anyone have plans for a jig to hold a turned egg so you can sand and finish both ends of the egg?
    thanks Ken

Ken.....check out this website. He shows how to turn and finish without a jig required......http://www.turnedtreasures.com/proje...tured_egg.html

I hope this doesn't violate any rules here. Not my intention!

No problem posting links to other sites here. Ken. (As long as the target site isn't a blatant violation of out CoC, of course.)

That said, I've moved this thread over to the Woodturning Q&A forum, since it'll possibly get more answers for Kenneth there.

I've turning a few eggs now and have not used a fixture. I just hand sand the nubs at the ends. You can't even tell they were there when the sanding is finished. Some pics here.

    Hi Kenneth.

The current issue of Woodworkers Journal, page 28, has an article on turning eggs.

I never have had a problem with turning eggs, but I do break the yokes a lot.
