I found this real informative & enjoyable

Having met Eli and seen him demonstrate many of these techniques, I can attest to the fact that Stu did a good job of re-telling the stories. :thumb:

Thanks to both Bart and Stu... very good videos and informative too..:thumb:
Sharpening is one of the toughest parts of my turning... I don't have a slow speed grinder or the oxide wheels... I actually do most of my sharpening on a 1 inch belt sander from HF... periodically I take the tools over to a good friend's house, take up his time and use his sharpening grinder... he has the raptor's and all the set up so I can reshape my tools after I've sharpened them on the belt a few times... I do have a high speed, but not the right wheels... In a video by Kirk DeHeer he mentions that I could use the high speed grinder with the oxide wheels, being careful to watch the heat buildup....
