    Free 1 hp motor

Like the title says: Free 1hp 3450 rpm electric motor. Heavy duty (7/24).

Come and get it. Oceanside, California

    Enjoy,

    Jim

I tried posting this under the "Giveaway" section. No one even looked at it, let alone responded. Since I cannot believe that no one would be curious about a free 1 hp electric motor, I am posting it here.

Hmmm, no takers. Maybe a pic would help so they knew what the mount pattern was(?) Maybe I'll just take it next time I'm down . . . No. Wait. What am I saying!!!

If I were a 'wee' bit closer, I'd be all over that generous offer...always great to have a back-up or use as an upgrade, even a dedicated grinding or sanding wheel set-up..they make so many shaft adapters nowadays the uses are endless!

Recommend that you put it on CL with a price--say $150 or best offer. Bet you will sell it then. I do not know why but people are afraid of 'free.' Here in Tokyo, I know a guy who had a sofa he wanted to get rid of. He advertised free and no one called. So, he advertised again at $50 and he got three offers.

BTW: You have to pay either the Tokyo City government or a private company to take it away. I had a small office and closed it. It cost me $500 to have a company come and pick up the furniture. I then went by their store and they were selling it for four times that!

    Kyle,

I could use a job like that---profit on purchase, then more profit when you sell it.

    Enjoy,
    Jim

    You gave me a chuckle.
