    Chair joints

We just replaced our dining room chairs. To my horror the stringers between the legs are attached with pocket screws. Can't tell about the seat construction since they are upholstered. Any comments on strength, durability etc?

Well, lets hope that is mechanical reinforcement for the M&T and glue they used. Pocket holes are not a new fangled idea. I have seen fairly old furniture with them employed. Not as slick and custom as what we are used to now but, pocket holes none the less.
