Hi, all,

I have a friend who owns a ranch in Hawaii with almost unlimited access to all sorts of native woods. He has pen blanks available for sale. He will send a box of 140 blanks, mixed woods, for $50.00, including shipping. He recently sent us a box and it had Formosa koa, peacock wood, curly eucalyptus, and several other "dunnowoods" in the box.

If you are interested in getting a box of these blanks, please PM me and I will put you in touch with my friend.

Now with pictures

I was asked about pictures; here they are:

From left: Formosa koa, pheasant wood (previously mid-id'd as peacock wood), Philippine mahogany, Honduras mahogany, spalted ??, two curly eucalyptus, and a dunnowood.

Unknown, may be mahogany from the grain structure and pattern. Paul tells me that this is probably mango.

Again, Unknown, may be mahogany from the grain structure and pattern. Paul says this this is also probably mango.

Reclaimed teak.

Unknown, but very dark (darker than the picture shows), and very heavy - maybe 8 ounces for the two pieces.
