    Morning light

There something about the morning light softly shining on my previous day's work that stirs a deep satisfaction in me. It also makes me realize why I have chosen wood as my medium of expression. I am mesmerized by the how the light shines from the different facets created by the hand plane, be it the underside taper of a small table top or the simple chamfers on a workbench leg.

I think I take what I'm making in my basement and bring it upstairs and look at it in the morning light. Maybe it will look better
