nice handle. Is that a paint scraper? although it looks brass..... my first thought was a veneer hammer but on closer inspection im completely confoosed....:dunno::huh:

I know what it is, but I ain't tellin'. (I cheated, but the answer was just sitting there in plain sight.) ;)

Very cool Frank now you can get busy on my Beaver pelt hat.:) Winter is coming and a need to keep my graying head warm. No Racoons for me thanks. :)
Hey is that front end kept sharp like our card scrapers?

I'm not fooling many people here.
Nothing sharp about it, the brass is 3/8" thick.
It is a hammer for knapping flints. I'll use it mainly to sharpen flints on the gun when shooting.
Made entirely from scrap.
I bought some brass at a yard sale several years ago, it comes in handy now and them.
The steel rod is left over from a long forgotten project.
The stabilized mulberry is a short end of a pen project.
Didn't take long to make but was a fun project. I like making my own accoutrements for the muzzle loading avocation.
