Saw last night on the weather channel, Colorado had snow on two ski mountains. Guess it is time, no matter how much I detest it.

Yup, been seeing solid black wooly worms too.

Summer has been too short....Got an oil delivery yesterday

Brrrr. I agree with the others, though. You've got a great view right outside your door.

Very cool view. Sometimes I wise we had our house with a view of the Sierras in the distance, but our current mountains offer pretty snow views when we don't get any a few thousand feet below.

We had a cool snap last week with rain (brought 10" of snow to the Sierras) Maybe it will squash the nice Indian Summer you Mid-West/Easterners have been enjoying. However, it's supposed to get back to near 80 by end of the week (we're at 4300 ft).

Generally don't get our first frost till the end of Oct. Sure hope so...still have lots of tomatoes that are "almost, but not quite" there. I think I'm going to have to sew up some garden fabric covers this weekend.

Now that most of the clouds from that storm have moved on, here's our other view. (90 degrees to the left - looking north instead of east.) I took this one from several feet above the previous one - from an upstairs bedroom window.

Beats the heck out of cornfields.
