    That's pretty slick.

    Believe it or not, I saw a much less sophisticated version of the same idea on The Woodwright's Shop a while back....

    I think the "bit" was a two-piece deal, and the pieces rode against a square-holed metal template set against the workpiece, and it wasn't anywhere near as robust (and the whole thing was hand-powered, of course) ... but still!
